Over 100 Women attend Tri-County Women in Business Networking Event

Theme of the event for the event was “Finding Balance in Business with Positivity and Style” with inspirational businesswomen guest speakers

Over 100 women from across counties Leitrim, Longford and Westmeath came together on Wednesday 31st May 2023 in The Landmark Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon to attend a Tri County Women in Business event. The theme of the event was ‘Finding Balance in Business with Positivity and Style’. Guest speakers on the night included Maria Carton, Professional Style Advisor from Roscommon and Lorna Doorley from Your Sacred Space, Leitrim. The event was organised jointly by the Local Enterprise Offices of Leitrim, Longford and Westmeath with the aim of further developing relationships within the Women in Business Network across the Counties involved.

Maria Carton provided a fashion master class to help businesswomen feel great about themselves at every stage of life. She provided lots of useful tips on how to elevate your own personal style, be a savvy shopper and how to builda great wardrobe of clothes that enhances who you are. Lorna Doorley, a Women’s Wellbeing Holistic Therapist, and owner of Your Sacred Space shared her personal experience of her battle with negative body image and how she finally broke free from repeated failed diets to a life of freedom and joy by focusing on the person within and what lay beneath. She gave some guidance and suggestions on tuning out the inner critic and turning up the volume on your own inner cheerleader! 

The guest speakers also told their business journeys and spoke freely about overcoming personal challenges and growing successful businesses. The networking part of the event was hosted by the MC Pat Murphy from Longford and provided the attendees with an opportunity to swap stories of their business and socialise.
